Issue of Fabricated Online Version of Al-Adab Al-Mufrad (By Imam Bukhari)

Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Raheem

as-Salamu alaykum warahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu
I ask Allah this message finds you all with the best of health and highest levels of Eemaan.
We encountered an issue while I was working with a Brother on ShareIslam.com Dawah Project.
Recently, it came to our attention that a fabricated translation of Al-Adab al-Mufrad by Al-Bukhari is being promoted over the web. This fabricated book has the highest hits on http://www.google.com/ and is readily available on couple of known/famous sites.

No other free version of this book is available at the moment. The book is being published online by an Organization in UK called SunniPath (http://www.sunnipath.com/). This book has been translated into English by "Ustadha Aisha Bewley".

The new revert Muslim brothers and sisters who just came out of shirk to the guidance of Islam are prone to reading this book, and getting confused as to the statements in it. The words have been switched, as in where it says "O Allah" the word hase been changed to "O Prophet" in most of the hadiths (especially the "Supplications" section). So it reflects someone that making Du'a to the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is not a problem. - a'oothubillah -.

The book being the work of Imam al-Bukhari, one of the most trusted scholars of all time; it is very easy to have blind faith in his work. So changing words and deceiving the masses is very easy in this internet age.
Here's the link to "Al-Adab Al-Mufrad" book where you may find "some" of the false hadiths:

1. http://www.sunnipath.com/Library/Hadith/H0003P0047.aspx
"1200. Ibn 'Umar said, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, did not omit saying the following words in the morning and evening: 'O Prophet, I ask you for well-being in this world and the Next"
2. http://www.sunnipath.com/Library/Hadith/H0003P0030.aspx
"701. 'Abdu'r-Rahman ibn Abi Bakra reported that he said to his father, "I heard you making this supplication every morning: 'O Prophet, make me healthy in my body. O Allah, make me healthy in my hearing. O Allah, make me healthy in my sight. "
3. In the attached book you can find the following fabricated hadith (which on the website has now been corrected because of the popularity of the Supplication http://www.sunnipath.com/Library/Hadith/H0003P0030.aspx):

292. Supplication in affliction

701. 'Abdu'r-Rahman ibn Abi Bakra reported that he said to his father, "I heard you making this supplication every morning: 'O Prophet, make me healthy in my body. O Allah, make me healthy in my hearing. O Allah, make me healthy in my sight. There is no god but You.' and repeat it three times in the evening and three times in the morning. You say, 'O Allah, I seek refuge with You from disbelief and poverty. O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the punishment of the grave. There is no god but You,' and you repeat it three times in the evening and three times in the morning." He replied, :Yes, my son. I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say them and I like to follow his sunna."

288. The supplications of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace

677. Anas reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to make supplication with this supplication, "O Prophet, give us good in this world and good in the Next World and protect us from the punishment of the Fire."

678. Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to say, "O Prophet, I seek refuge with You from poverty, need and abasement. I seek refuge with You from being unjust or wronged."

"O Prophet, give us good in this world and good in the Next World and protect us from the punishment of the Fire."

This is a very common Supplication, i.e., "Rabbana Aatina wid'Duniya Hasanatau, wa fil'Akhirati hasanatau, wa keena Adhaaban'Naar", in which "Rabbana" is Oh Allah, or Oh Rabb, which has been fabricated to Oh Prophet - a'oothubillah -.

If you do a google search on the PDF version of the book "Al-Adab al-Mufrad", you will certainly find the attached book. Here is the google search link for the book for your ease.
http://www.google.com.kw/search?hl=en&q=PDF+al-adab+al-mufrad+&meta=&aq=f&oq=

In Addition, you can visit the online contents of the entire book at http://www.sunnipath.com/ , where this book is taught publicly.
If it was a case of one or two words (i.e. by mistake), then we would have understood it is a mistake, but the shirk statements have been delibrately put in there in abundance (wala hawla wala quwata illa billah).
Those who know arabic can read the original Arabic Book and compare it with the online book.
It is really sad for such a beautiful book ("Al-Adabul al-Mufrad"), which is supposed to teach the best of manners, being mis-used to promote what gives one an eternal place in hellfire. I hope that Allah will guide our hearts to do something about this falsehood that is being taught to our Muslim brothers and Sisters (both new and less knowledgable ones).

Jazaakum Allahu khayran
