His Journey to Islam

When his son left home he was clearing up and came across the book, Cruci-fiction or Cruci-Fixion by Ahmed Deedat (Rahimullah) and went to challenge Ahmed on the Concept of Trinity NOT Being in the Bible. After meeting with Mr Ahmed Deedat he went right up to his Archbishop who could not convince him and told him just to believe in Trinity. After much Research, he embraced Islam and invited all his children to embrace Islam.

Baba Ngawane believed in continuous learning and started work as a labourer and also loaded trucks with goods. He completed his matric in his 30's, thereafter BA, then masters in law, whilst in his 50's qualified as an Attorney and opened his practice. He never stopped Dawah. On Tuesday the 15th of September came out of Hospital and called the IPCI for a quotation on a revised edition of his book, which was delivered to him on the 16th of September. He addressed many gatherings at Universities, conducted public lectures in various town and cities in South Africa.

Author of both Zulu and English versions of Ubhaqa (the instrument of Light) through his writings many became Muslims. Never afraid to do Dawah, he met with King Goodwill Zweletini on several occasions and invited him to Islam. He also met with Zweli Mkhize, Premier of Kwazulu Natal recently. He fully practiced Islam, picked up neighbours at Fajr time to join him. He was unique, he lived Islam fully to the end.

He also went for Hajj at the invitation of RABITA. He was a simple, humble and caring person and was a Khalifat ul Ard (representative of Allah on Earth).

The Muslim Community of South Africa will dearly miss him.

Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon (To Allah we belong and To Him we will return)

A Note from a Close Friend on this Eid

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu
Allah (S.W.T.) says to the believers in Surat Al-Ma'idah, (Verse 3), what can be translated as,
"This day I have perfected your deen for you, completed My Favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your Deen."
Islam is submission to Almighty Allah, obeying Him, worshiping none but Allah alone, and not associating anyone with Him. In other words, Muslims should make sure they avoid Shirk (associating partners with Allah).
On this blessed day, let us celebrate Eid-ul-Adha with a sense of gratitude and humility as we glorify Allah (S.W.T.) through our takbir, tahmid and through performing the ibadah

Allahhu Akbar Allahhu Akbar Allahhu Akbar Walillah hilhamd.

We ask Allah the Almighty, to bless all the muslims who are performing their Hajj peacefully and may all of them receive a Mabrur/Mabrurah Hajj and for the one who performing Qurban/Sacrifice, May Allah accept our sacrifices. Ameen
Every nation (Ummah) has an Eid, which has its objectives and purpose. Eid purifies the hearts and brings people together for a good purpose. The Eid is a blessed day, which Allah named as "Yawm Al-Haj Al-Akbar" as most of the Haj rites are on this day.
Hajj is the symbol of Tawheed (the Oneness of Allaah) from the first moment the pilgrim enters ihraam.
Jaabir ibn ‘Abd-Allaah said, describing the Hajj of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): “Then he srated to say the words of Tawheed, ‘“Labbayka Allaahumma labbayk, labbayka laa shareeka laka labbayk. Inna al-hamd wa’l-ni’mata laka wa’l-mulk, laa shareeka lak (Here I am, O Allaah, here I am. Here I am, You have no partner, here I am. Verily all praise and blessings are Yours, and all sovereignty, You have no partner).’”
Narrated by Muslim.
We ask Allâh, may He be exalted, to increase our iman, taqwa and patience in undergoing this difficult and trial period, to ease our worries, for He is the All-Hearing Who answers prayers, He is the Ever-Living, Eternal. Ameen
The teachings of the Qur'an and the Sunnah stress moral excellence, good manners and safeguarding society's and individuals' rights. People should be kind and obedient to their parents, keep in touch with their relatives, greet people and keep away from harming or annoying others. The Islamic teachings stress the spreading of love and harmony and warn against cheating, envy and backbiting. We urged Muslims to have good manners while dealing with people.
We ask Allâh, the Mighty and Majestic, to bless us all in what we have heard, and that He makes us from the people of the Qur'ân, those who are His special and favored people, and that He increases us in knowledge and that He reminds us of what we forget. Ameen-ameen- ameen yarabbal 'alameen

We pray for the many people who are suffering around the world. We encourage every Muslim to pray for and to make great efforts to bring peace and justice as well as relief from suffering for all of humanity. We should also make dua for the Muslims who are struggling in Allah's cause, our brothers/sisters who are behind bars and the less fortunate who are struggling with poverty around the world and those who have lost there job - may Allah give them a better rizq. Ameen

We make du'aa that Allah accept all our efforts and grant us Ikhlaas.
Allaahu akbar, Allaahu akbar, Allaahu akbar, laa ilaaha ill-Allaah,
Allaahu akbar, Allaahu akbar, Allaahu akbar, wa Lillaahi'l-hamd
(Allaah is Most Great, Allaah is Most Great, Allaah is Most Great,
there is no god except Allaah, Allaah is Most Great, Allaah is Most
Great , Allaah is Most Great, and all praise be to Allaah).

EID MUBARAK,
Taqabal Allah Minna Wa Minkum, Saleh Al-A'maal. Ameen.

[Joshua Evans] How the Bible Led Me to Islam?: The Story of a Former Christian Youth Minister

The Topic (includes Link): How the Bible Led Me to Islam?

A talk by Brother Joshua Evans

[Islamic Institute of Orange County, Masjid Omar Al Farouk Anaheim, California, USA, February 6th 2009]
  • Is Jesus Christ God or just a Prophet?
  • Did He ever claim to be God?
  • What do the ancient texts tell us?
Brother Joshua was raised by his grandparents in Greenville, South Carolina in a very strict Methodist home.

In his teenage years, he became very involved in the church and was studying at a small Bible college in his hometown with the intention of eventually enrolling in Bob Jones University.

He was learning to read the Bible in Hebrew and Greek and was very interested in textual criticism of the Bible. It was during these years of intense Bible study that he read the Bible cover to cover a half a dozen times. In doing so, he realized there were many inconsistencies and contradictions.

He realized the Bible was not the inerrant Word of God as he had always been taught. He eventually left Christianity and searched for the truth about God elsewhere.
